My Hatching Journey: the Adventures of a Complete Newbie

Added my 3 dozen quail eggs to the 8 silkie eggs this morning. I did have to remove the 3 little bantam cochin eggs though. I needed the room for quail, and I'm pretty sure they were yolkless anyway. Her eggs should get bigger. I'll crack them open this evening to verify. (I'm gonna cry if I see any sign of veining!)

So....... here we go again!

You ordered the one from Amazon ? I would use two blubs so if you lose one you still have heat . won't make a difference . bulbs that switch on and off a lot blow quick . chances are you can cut down on the wattage just a bit . depending on the size of your cooler the fan should OK . BTW the lighi fixture can be bought at Home depot too.

One what? inverter, bulb, fan?

Cooler is 16 1/2 by 11 1/2 and 11 1/2 inches deep on the inside. I'll get 2 bulbs for sure, but it's gonna be fun trying to fit it in with room for a wafer t-stat and fan....

bulbs and fixtures how big is this thing ?
Gonna get the bulbs from Amazon, as the ones I have are 75 watts. I already have the fixtures, unless you are talking about the 2 pronged socket....

I'm sure there are some pictures on Sally's coolerbator build link on her signature
She has a big cooler, mine is tiny.
