My Hatching Journey: the Adventures of a Complete Newbie

This is my first attempt. I have the same Inc as the one in the start of this thread. I'm pretty sure of the answer, but anyway-are temp and same time turning most important? A neighbor saw my Inc an said"my dad (a farmer) used to just put the eggs in a box with a 60 watt bulb an Wes always got chicks". Could this be, or is he skipping something?

Maybe he might have. incubation is like the hen temps at the top of the egg and turn them half dozen times a day . some folks like to be all about studies but in the end its just keeping the egg at the right temperature and humidity .

Holy water OK maybe I'll add some of that :lau . Well all appears good so far 150 set and still many more eggs left styro's fired up and set some more tomorrow .

Yay!!!! I ran out of holy water and I'm trying a staggered hatch with quail and chicken eggs in my nothingbutalightobator.......

A very old fishing cheap styrafoam cooler and a light bulb... Ohhh can't forget the duct tape. Lol

What? No baling twine??

Come up to modern times Banti bailing twine went out of style years ago .
