My Hatching Journey: the Adventures of a Complete Newbie

Egg yolk from broken quail eggs all over the bottom

A thick layer of dust

Some brown crud I'm really not interested in finding out what it was

Little worm skins IN the thing I assume is the thermostat

Cobwebs from the heating element to the sides

Built up shtuff from many hands lifting the lid

Smudged noseprints all over the viewing windows

It was gross!

I use a stronger mix and let it set a bit . Styrofoam has deep pores so its good to do that . have to careful of the heating element .after cleaning with the bleach use plenty of clean water . after it dries good turn it on with the plugs out to help remove moister . I also use the same mix to clean water containers . kills the allege quicker .

No, I removed most of the yuck last time, but some egg yolk and crust was stuck on, which is what I got this time. Still a bit stained though.

I just wiped the top with a wet (bleach water) paper towel, so I didn't get anything important wet.
