MY HEN HAS SWOLLEN FACE

What is it? What can I do? I took him to the vet but I know he failed :(

I'm certainly not a vet, but I have had chickens come down with sinus infections that look just like that photo you posted.

A very simple treatment using steroid and antibiotic eye drops clears it right up.
If the infection is still liquid antibiotics and steroid drops might help, but once the pus hardens, and it probably will, it needs to be lanced and the ball of pus needs to be removed.


Here is one that I did for a friend. Antibiotics and drops will not treat these.









 
I hope he gets better but why on earth does the title say "hen?" That ain't no hen, that's a rooster or I need better glasses.
Sorry about that, my main language is Spanish. I was in "desperate mode" to help my rooster and didn't see that I wrote hen. But thank you for noticing and wishing him well. :)
