My hen is sick. I picked her up and yellow slime is pouring out from, her mouth

yes hes eating and drinking but he no longer perches at night.. he hides and sleeps in the corner of the coop until morning.. is there something i could give him for ear infection just to see if it helps? He still trys to get ontop of the hens but hes so clumsy.. the wind could blow him away... he free ranges with them all day but what the heck happened.. hes about 5 years old. Ive never seen this with a rooster or a hen before.

I'm guessing the first thing to treat for is an ear infection. Seems he wants to act normal, but his balance is off. You would see him shaking his head and scratching at his ears.

Check out that thread for information that could help you.

Second, I would suspect some type of neurological issue or toxin in the environment. Any chance he could have gotten a hold of peeling lead paint, styrofoam, herbicide, or pesticide? Have you witnessed him losing control of his body or having a seizure?

Hope thay helps.
