If the other eye is fine, and she's not acting sick, and there's no wheezing or sneezing or rattly breathing or noticeable inflation and deflation of her sinus on either side of her face when she breathes in or out, then hopefully, it's just something in her eye rather than a potentially fatal disease which could wipe out your flock.

If it's a foreign body, it could still blind her though. At night when she's on the perch, if you're able, it may be a good idea to take a torch into the coop and maybe with someone's help, or a torch that straps onto your head, have a look at the eye. If you think there's something stuck in there, you could wash it out with saline solution or chamomile flower tea with nothing added.

But you say she was OK "last week" ---- does this mean her eye has been shut all this time, or does it mean she's been hiding away or acting sick all this time?

Best wishes.

you could post on "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread - in detail. There are OTC eye drops/ointments just to soothe the eye you could probably ask a pharmacist what he recommends. If you knew actually what was wrong, then she would probably need a prescription product.
