My hens eye is completely swollen shut! Whats wrong?

I understand this post is old, but am posting in the case someone searches for infectious coryza (IC). You do not need to cull. There are far worse illnesses your chickens can have. My flock has IC (lab confirmed). I did lose one chicken, but this is because I didn't know what I was doing at first. Unlike MG that requires antibiotics once a month to keep symptoms down, IC only requires one round (two if the first doesn't work). It is important to know that it will be rare if one antibiotic works for all chickens in the flock. I have 22, oxytetracycline worked for all but 4. The 4 that didn't resolve received Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. All are symptom free now. Yes, they are carriers for life - but for me that is not a reason to cull.
