normally young pullets wont go broody... but in saying that i had a bantam of mine lay 12 eggs then decide to go broody... she didnt really know what to do tho.... and she snapped out of it quite quickly

Thank you for this but no, no interested in getting an incubator into play.Once their laying gets into swing, if you want to hatch the eggs you can get an incubator and do it that way.

I'm sure that at SOME point your silkie will go broody. They almost always do, it seems. You could also get some more chicks that will grow into broody hens...cochins and silkies are phenomenally broody. My friend has 2 cochins and they are constantly broody.Thank you for this but no, no interested in getting an incubator into play.
