My hens won't incubate their eggs.

i’m not an english native speaker but still i think the adjective “gross” doesn’t express shock but disgust loaded with judgement and insult.

but hey, what do i know?
I’m sorry but this is not a matter of a judgmental opinion. Facts are facts - you are putting your health at serious risk. That’s all I’m saying.

well, then you should have talked about facts from the very beginning instead of being judgemental and insulting, don’t you agree?
@lighthouse You do what is right for you and your culture and your family. It’s hard for some people to look past their own privledge/ cultural norms. I think you’re trying super hard and you’re doing a great job! Good luck with the new little baby!

I wouldn't have chickens in my house for their health, not mine. I just enjoy seeing them outside in the fresh air.
In the case of my health...well, I've kissed my chickens (yes, on the beak) for eight years and caught no illness.

Caponization wouldn't be ideal because it's a tricky surgery. There's a possibility they wouldn't survive the procedure. And that's if you can find someone willing and knowledgeable enough to do it.

Five cats? Awesome.

my chickens spend all day long outside really. they just cross the house two or three times a day just snooping around and chasing this or that bug —that’s why i got them in the first place, as a pest control and they are THE BEST.

they sleep in the kitchen bathroom that nobody uses and it’s easy peasy to clean it up in the morning with the hose and pour some bleach around.

then daisy went crazy one day looking for a place where to lay her egg and was all over around the kitchen breaking everything and at the end she chose the kitchen table —a very big one. and what could i do if she found her peace there? and anyway the hens do not poo when they are laying or incubating so both hens were just like deco there, nothing else.

you not scare to lose one eye when kissing them???!!! OMG, i would!!! but now i have to try :)

yeah, five lions...
