My hermaphrodite chicken

Well the comb was a big sign for me. Has small spurs on the legs. The right side of the bird seems beefier.
The feathers I can't do much with. I got the rooster in a shitty condition, so the feathers are still all beat up looking (I'm assuming the poor bird got beat up a lot).
The neck feathers look kind of rooster-ish, longer neck.

I will try and get better body pictures of "Hermes" tomorrow. (I keep forgetting to bring my camera out with me. lol)

The roosters won't touch it and try and kill it instead(I've had to move all but one of my roosters to accommodate Hermes)... The hens are indifferent.

It's eggs Hermes gives me are not fertilized, but the other two/3 laying hen's eggs are for sure.
Seemed a little odd if it was a full she, why would the roosters hate it so much?

The thing I'm worried about is how much longer will I be getting eggs?
Everything I have read points to gender change being brought on by a damaged ovary. =[
I don't mind the bird... but I bought it for eggs.
I'm highly debating seeing if the woman will give me a replacement, but I feel rude...
I don't even know for sure what's up with the bird... Other than my roosters hating it.
I have added hens before that the roosters did not like. I highly doubt this is a rooster. The one you compared it to is just not sexually mature where this one is. The comb is not abnormally large for a white leghorn hen.

Unless you see feathers that indicate rooster, there is nothing to be concerned about.

I'll be fine if it's all hen and just funny looking. =]
It wasn't just introducing her to the new flock that was getting it beat up.. it came to me beat up, meaning it's own flock wasn't a fan. Poor thing. Got to love outcasts/freaks.

So far so good anyway. Peaceful and I've been getting daily eggs from this lady.
Just sucks I needed to move the other roosters. Everyone got along fine until the new members of the flock arrived.
Live and learn.
This bird better keep giving me eggs and like me. lol

Cinderella and Hermes.

See ya!

Cinderella~ the other female leghorn, should be the same age, came from the same person. (she is the white hen is in the pictures with Hermes)

The chiken named Georgia/George in the article is a hen. If you look at it, it has no rooster feathering. What is that about the hairy legs?

I have no idea what's going on with your chicken, that's weird! I'm sorry you had to rehome him/her.

Yes, I'd say if the bird ever laid eggs it is 100% female, whether it starts to crow or grow a comb after doesn't mean it has turned into a male it is merely a hormone imbalance due to as they say poss a damaged ovary, even in humans this happens, some women are hairier than others! some men are less hairy and more feminine...

So,
I think this same thing is happening to us! Our flock consist of 11 birds. 2 ducks, 1 official rooster and 7 hens and well... a maybe rooster-hen. Our bird of question started off so small and was always a slow grower. Then one day we found that they had started to lay eggs. She laid about 6 eggs, which were distinctively hers. Last night my husband was out side and heard our regular rooster crow, then there was another crow that followed. He came back in and told me and I just kind of rolled my eyes and said whatever (thinking he was just hearing things). Then today he was out there again and this bird had one of our other birds mounted! So this gender bender is only about 8 months old. We do not know what to do in terms of only wanting one rooster. Should we wait to see what characteristics they have?
