Hi All,
Was down at the Agway yesterday and they were OUT of chicks (Darn! Next week a new shipment comes in!) except for 2 little Buckeyes with their tails pecked down to the bone. Just bloody stumps in back. They looked miserable. I DREAMED about them last night. I woke up this morning wondering if I should have taken them.
Is this something a chick can recover from? How would I help these babies?
Should I just cherish my mental and emotional health and buy some healthy chicks when the shipment comes in? (Which I intend on doing anyway.)
Any feedback, insights, or experiences welcome. Thank you fellow chicken fanatics.
