I am so proud of him! Not a carpenter by trade, but with mostly scrap lumber he put this 5' x 8' x 7' coop together for the ladies. They love it! There are 12 hens and 2 accidental roo's. The small door locks so when they go to bed at night, we just go out and lock it up.

We have a 10x 10 x 6 dog kennel that we connect at the chicken door for them to be able to run in and out as they please when we are not here. Found it in the local ad bulletin for only $125.00, came with a tarp roof for shade! We only let them free range when we are home and our dog can be outside to protect them from predators.

Daisy's a pound pup... not too big, but NO one is gonna get her babies. She was willing to fight an Siberian Huskey one day. (NOT such a good idea)

The coop is nearly finished. Will post pics after we finish her up this weekend!! We are still adding flower boxes, shutters and of course a sign that says "Clucking Hen Palace".
