My "hot weather" chicken coop

I've thought of doing this...but would use sealed ice packs and/or frozen bottles of water so as not to increase the humidity, not problem in the desert.
Do you also just use misters...or too hot for that to work well?

I've read that misters are not recommended. In Las Vegas, the extra humidity is not a problem, besides I use this ice chest system to cool the far end of their outdoor space I've installed a wind guard on the end to help keep that end breezy and cooler. For their larger indoor coop, they have a small window ac that gives them a comfortable space to take refuge from excessive heat.

I tried sealed ice packs, figuring it would be easier and cheaper than block ice, but they aren't as cold and don't last as long. But I do freeze water bottles and lay them in their pen and I see them standing on them from time to time. And those, I just keep re-freezing.

Would be imperative here with our 70-90% humidity same reason why misters don't do any good.

Eeehhh I think in an arid desert climate none of those things would be an issue.
Common sense, context, and moderation should always be applied.

I use misters in my outdoor kennels and the dogs get wet, if dry feathers help them regulate their body temperatures, that makes sense to me. I'm not making a recommendation, I only shared with you what I read about misters b cause you asked.

Many breeds, but primarily Manchester Terriers, Dobermans, Min pins
