My house is 1 acre. Can my neighbr hear my rooster?

Yes, but they may not be bothered by it if it's at a reasonable time. I have 3 roosters, and thankfully no neighbors. I have one roo that starts crowing at 1AM and every hour like a church bell until 4PM. He bothers us, disrupts normal sleep patterns, etc. only keeping him for breeding because I keep rare breeds, but he's loud and obnoxious and not long for this world....
I like crowing personally but there's a limit. I wouldn't let that rooster pass on his loud genes

Roosters can be heard from a mile away, your neighbor can absolutely hear your boys. I would check the legality of roos in your area and try and minimize the noise although you can't train a chicken to be quiet unfortunately

That aside, i'd be leery of keeping one rooster with so few females let alone 2. If roos have too few hens they can overbreed them. Not to mention the boys potentially fighting each other eventually (although there's no magic number to prevent that, more girls does improve your odds of the boys remaining civil towards each other). Up to you what you want to do, if you want and are able to have more birds i'd get a lot more pullets, however, know that it's entirely possible one or both boys may not turn out to be a good roo. At this point they're still fairly young cockerels and how they are today doesn't necessarily reflect how they'll be tomorrow. Generally you won't know a roo's true temperment until he's a year and a half to 2 years old. Consider what you're seeing now as a good sign but not a guaranteed. I personally would get 4-6 more females, keep the best boy and rehome the other (assuming he's still nice, mean roos get invited to dinner) but again, my situation is not necessarily the same as yours. If noise is an issue or you can't have/don't want more birds i'd rehome both boys

Not really bothered by the dB range, only thing obnoxious and bothersome is his timing and frequency of crowing, this appears to be more his personality than a heritable trait. He's a good roo in all other aspects, so for now while we grow his flock we endure the madness 😜

I bought 6 chickens at Tractor Supplies. I think they said it's all female, but somehow I got 2 roosters and 4 hens.

I'm actually happy with the combination. The roosters try to protect the hens and they get along well.

We live in a single family house and it's 1 acre. We have only one neighbor and the chicken is located the furthest in my backyard from the neighbor's house. My neighbor's house is also about 1 acre and their house is located in the center of this acre.

I keep the chicken house door closed and release them at 6am, so the roosters usually crow in the house, but I can still hear them cloud and clear enough to wake me up! (and I love it!) My bedroom is the closest to their house, though.

Do you think my neighbor can hear them and can be bothered? or Do you think it's not so bad so they wouldn't care?

I did not hear any complaints but I don't want to feel guilty every morning if it's not the case. And, I also don't want to bring this up to my neighbor until they mention. Can anyone share your experiences if you're in a smiliar situation?

Thanks!
Yep your neighbor can here your rooster. My rooster crows off and on ALL DAY and I can hear that fella an acre or two up the driveway :)

Not everyone wakes up to a crowing rooster. My DH never did, and the roosters were just 40 feet away.

Your neighbors may not hear the rooster in the morning, but they will hear him if they are already awake. My neighbors liked the sound of the crowing rooster, thank goodness.

I would ask the neighbors if they hear the rooster at 6 a.m. If so, apologize and regime the rooster, or eat him. (unless they like hearing him).

People have bred longcrowers, so I assume it's genetic. My flock is completely free-range and they hang out around my house all the time so I've been breeding quiet roosters only for years. They're definitely much more quiet in both volume and frequency than when I started

We have 12 acres and have 4 roosters in our flock. My neighbors comment that our roosters are more vocal than theirs...
