I'm so happy with the look of my incubator. My clever husband, Scott stayed up all last night building it si it was ready for the chicken eggs lock down.

What are you using to generate heat and is there a fan in there?

I have to mention, when your calculating amount of space, take into account that heat rises but it also cools as it rises. The higher it rises the temperature drops quite significantly.

So to limit the temperature drop it will require 2 heat sources, 1 on the bottom and the other near the middle with a fan anchored near the top blowing downward.

The best diy incubator is a convection style, it provides even heating and easier to maintain humidity after some adjustments. Just thought I would share my experience with making diy incubators.

Yes. There's multiple fans, 2x Peltier modules for water res, 2 heat sources, 6 thermometers, 2 are for control only, 4 are for viewing, 2 are for controllers.
I might mention at this point that Scott has Type 2 Bipolar, he's good at what he does.
