Well after months of waiting and stressing out , my husbands percentage finally came in. The Army gave him 70% disability and the VA found him to be 100% disabled . Now we just have to wait for his retirement papers and then we can haul our self out of here.
He got 70 % for PTSD and bipolar , 50% for obstructive sleep apnea, 30% for migraines, 20% each for CPS/RTS on each hand, peripheral neuropathy on both feet, type 2 diabetes with a dysfunction and a bunch of things that were rated at 10%. He doesn't do to well in a work place setting anymore, makes many mistakes which cause him to second guess himself, argue with others, slow down... He can also not be in crowds or loud areas. At home he is pretty much in our room. I hope that moving out into the country will help him . He really enjoyed the woods when we looked at our house yesterday
Oh yeah, almost forgot. We bought a house yesterday. Its a 3/2 SW 16x80 sitting on 2+ acres, mostly wooded and out in the country, near a lake and hunting area.
Not looking for sympathy, just wanted to let you all knows what is going on in our life. We should be done and moved in march.

I really hope that this plus the new home will allow you and your husband a new start.

Oh congratulations on finally resolving this and getting a new home. I am sure that your husband will benefit from his new surroundings it sounds very tranquil. I wish you both the very best of luck and better health!

What a huge relief for you two! I hope that the new scenery will help the both of you to heal. The country life just has a pureness too it, I think everyone can benefit from it if they allow it to.

Congrats on the new place and moving on to a new life. Thank you to your DH (and you) for his service and sacrifices to our country!

I find great peace in gardening, reconnecting with the earth and the benefit of healthy food from the garden.. Great for what you're DH is dealing with. I read an article a while back, which said farming has proven to be great therapy/job for returning vets.

Good luck to both of you!

WOOHOO! What a relief it is to get all the paperwork over and done with, congrats on the new home and great news!
