My Ivy.. Latest Relapse...She's Gone

I don't know if she has a future, but all I can do now is wait and watch all three of these girls. At the moment, none seem to be suffering, though obviously, Livvie feels that she has something inside that should come out, as witnessed by her visits to the nests. If things take a serious downturn, we'll try to ease their suffering at that point, but sometimes they can rally when you think there's no hope.

I hope the girls pull through for ya.

Mine are crazy - and I KNOW are trying to make me have a heart-attack, or a mental breakdown. Maybe both at the same time! It's always something.

I'm hoping that when all my hatchery stock is gone, this problem will become much less frequent. Up till now, every one except Livvie has been hatchery stock. On the bright side, I do have two 3-yr-old Brahmas who show no trouble at all, and they are from the same hatchery, plus three 4 yr olds who are producing eggs with no trouble, either, again, same hatchery.

I'm happy to hear that Ivy is doing better and hope the Livvy isn't too uncomfortable.

Wow, all you can do is love 'em!

I do hope you're right, that when these girls time on this earth ends, so does your bouts with these kinds of problems.

It's not fair that you, the best chicky momma ever, should have such problems! Just not fair!! It's almost like being punished for doing everything right, and caring so much, isn't it?

Update with pics: Ivy's abdomen seems somewhat smaller and it's pliable! Olivia's is still taut, however, it seems a bit smaller as well. They look good, both of them, see? Could they beat this? If so, it's only because of their overall good health and strong immune systems.
