My Ivy.. Latest Relapse...She's Gone

Ivy is doing great at the moment, however, on a hunch, I checked Ginger's crop and it's soured, darn it. Feels gassy and she burped when I felt it. As if she didn't have enough issues already! She is separated without feed and with some water with organic unfiltered ACV in it. I ran out of plain yogurt and DH just went to town yesterday so may have to run back.

Yay for Ivy and Darn it! for Ginger.. when it rains it pours for you doesn't it? I've been so lucky, I hate to think what will happen when it does!

When their bodies are depleted, that's when crop issues seem to arise. The feed seems fine, not moldy, never has been wet at all. I check every time now since I lost Skye and Kate during their molts when they got hold of bad feed from the co-op. Poor Gingersnap. She's a sweet, quiet girl, but she is four and a half now and I think this is it for her.

sad situation for any of us to be in. We can only do our best. Goodness, knows you and Tom have never hesitated to go the extra mile.

Some days, as much as I love my old ladies, I just wish if they were going, that they'd just go on and pass. I do all this, knowing that nothing will really help in the end.

Hang in there Cyn. Someday, these problems shall come to pass...one way or another....and when they do, you know there are a great many of us here who are ready and willing to catch you. We'll never let you hit rock bottom.
