Oh! And if I can convince Denny of it, I have a line on about 10 or so little 2+ month old BO pullets for the boys. The friends who have them are willing to hang on to them until they're old enough to live with the boys. Toss in a couple of my girls into each set of young'uns, and I've got three new flocks complete with their own wonderful little man!

And then I don't have to face the heartbreak of parting with a single one of my sweet little boys!

*sigh* I wish I had tools- I have been making my own 4 X 8 coop with a nasty little sawsall that doesn't. And a battery operated drill that doesn't like 3 1/2 inch screws. Or any screw at all on some days. And a disinterested DH, so I am trying to hold it together and screw it by myself. I just put the roof on yesterday and tacked down the lengths of whatever you call it - why don't you ladies come visit and help me, then I will return the favor!

Beth I hear ya..that is why I want DH home...having met me, you can pretty much guess that the building is not a problem for me in design, skill or application...but my being vertically challenged (only being 5'2") makes it difficult to hold wall piece together and operate power tools....

If only I could train my feet to hold the pieces in place.

Cyn..yoooohoooo how is everyone there? We require updates you know.

All still alive. Livvie's comb is very dark and she stands around hunched up most of the time, though she manages to summon energy to come get blueberries. They are pretty much the same. Lexie will have her second shot of penicillin, but I will only do one round of it. It's become crystal clear over the last couple of years that this condition never really goes away.

I know- at 5'3" building is a struggle- I ended up heaving the roof sections onto the run, which is 6' tall, and having them drop onto the frame,then running in and pushing them into place-I can feel it today. . . .youch!

Sorry we sidetracked, Cyn, I wish I could snuggle with Ivy and feed her and the others some grapes right now!
