My Journey Begins--1st time Incubating--Join Me!!

I candled last night. I have 8 Gold lace cochins in the bator. I could clearly see 3 chicks dancing around. 2 were a bit iffy. One I'm almost positive was completely clear but I'm going to try again on day 10.

Today I also added 10 Splash Frizzles to the bator!

I have fingers, toes, and butt cheeks crossed!!!

The egg was clear, all the veins were gone.

BTW I will update my BYC page today, I'm alittle slow lol.

Setting batch of eggs #2 next week, I am so addicted lol

OK..I'm going to give this a try. I picked up a couple of older incubators off of Craigslist. One needs a thermostat, but the guy said the other was maintaining the temperature. So I came home and got everything plugged up and running. Now, I'm monitoring. I told the lady that I had some chicks and now I was going to get some e-g-g-s and give this a try, she said "Do you want some?"I said sure, so she gave me 8 Ameracauna, 2 Red Sexlink and a Leghorn to hatch...keeping my fingers crossed..I have not a clue what I'm doing, but I have read all of the post and getting a LOT of info.(The E-G-G-S are resting at room temp. pointy side down right now)
