I'm sorry to hear that your day was so frustrating. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better for you. Maybe finding your heart problem now, was a blessing in disguise and something that can be addressed while you are taking this time in your life to address your other medical problems. Probably better to have found it out now, than be laid up after you are done with your treatments and moving on to better things. I hope your weekend is less stressful.

Yes, I agree, good thing they did find the heart problem now. What can they do for that? Sometimes it takes time for a wound to heal, especially during chemo treatments, make sure you let them know whats going on!

Good luck Guienalady on your first treatment tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. I go for my "cast" and CT tomorrow, so we'll both be busy at the Drs.

well first round of chemo done...feeling pretty good right now do have anti nausea pills which i hope work just as good as what i had today. now it is just wait and see how each day goes

the nurse is fantastic think i will like her ..thouhg i was about ready to
smack.gif
her today...only because she was poking around the the port incicsion and it hurt like helll. know she had to figure it out

the dr said to just keep doing what i have to the open wound it is looking good.

go back on the 4th of oct for round 2 and once aweek for lab work. the radiation will be done in elizabeth city near me so only five more trips for chemo.

One step closer to the end!! be sure to drink lots of water so you don't get dehydrated if you happen to get sick. Did your doc put you on steriods before your chemo? Those tend to help with the stomach problems too. They just don't let me sleep.

Hang in there we're all pulling for you!

You got the right attitude! You'll be fine.......I had my anti nausea pills ready too, but didn't need them, hope it works out the same for you. Once the nurse gets used to your port, she'll be good to you.

I hope you believe me when I say this, but it does go by fast, you'll be where I am before you know it. I wish you a speedy and non yucky chemo journey and you make sure you keep your sword sharp and ready.

And like Coyote said, each step is one step closer to the end! And do drink lots of water, besides keeping you hydrated, it helps flush out the "poison" faster so you feel better sooner.

And that's always good.

well today i have been really tired and every bone and muscle aches like crazy so haven't done much of anything other than see glenn..... they finally did an exray of his hip and found a old hairline fracture which was propabably aggravated when he had his fall a couple of weeks ago.

he of cours is ready to come home so he can help me...but don't think he is ready and i would be waiting on him instead of the other way. think li will go back to the couch no way is comfortable ,sitting, standing or laying down.

hopefully tomarrow will be better ,,,thanks so much for all the good thoughts.

I'm sorry that you are feeling bad today. Spoil yourself some...okay? Use this time while Glenn is recovering to eat ice cream on the couch without any guilt.

Each day it gets better, my onc Dr said that for women of middle age or so it's "normal" for the leg aches & pains. It will pass, it makes you feel like you're getting the flu, then it eases off.

That ice cream idea sounds nice! And cuddle with a cozy blanket while you're having your ice cream and watch a good movie. (Is there such a thing?)

If it wasn't ice cream for me, it was mac & cheese or mashed potatoes, or a shake! Now I can't look at them.

Hope your hubby comes home soon and you all have some relaxing time and take care of each other.
