My largest egg ever!!! (4 yolks) post #31

Here is an egg I got out of one of the nest boxes the other day.

I broke the egg open today to see what I had and thought I would eat it.

I found a double yolker with another egg inside, so I broke open the other egg and to my surprise it was also a double yolker. So I got two double yolkers in one egg.

I have never had a triple. Had some pretty big eggs over the years but either they had a big single yolk or a double yolk.

I realize this thread is old. Yesterday I got the largest egg I ever have gotten. I have gotten some very large eggs over the years. My last large egg was an egg inside an egg, both eggs had double yolks. It weighed 135 grams. This egg weighed 182 grams. A regular large egg weighs 60 grams. I took several pictures as it was hard for me to believe. It's going to be my breakfast.

I just read through this. Wow. Those are all such huge eggs!!!! My barely started laying pullets are laying 30-40 oz eggs. They look tiny compared to a normal egg. I couldn’t imagine what they’d look like next to those bricks! Those poor hens... talk about ring of fire!
