I've noticed recently that my lemon orphington hen has cuts on her toes. None of them seem serious, none really seem to bleed much (no dripping even), but I can't figure out where they're coming from. They are confined to the coop for now until they are feathered out more because it's been pretty cold here, and there's nothing sharp in the coop (I checked!). I spend a lot of time out there just hanging out and watching them and no one is pecking that I've seen- I haven't even seem them bother her cuts at all. The only thing I could think of was dry air- could that make her toes crack and bleed?
And should I do anything about them? I've been just keeping an eye on them up until this point.
Thanks in advance!
