My leukemia's back.

Bruce you mentioned morning CO2 headaches. Is that from sleep apnea? I sleep most of the day and am up most of the night and into next morning. When I first wake up, I have a headache - minor one. But, I wonder if it means I had it all during sleep also and wasn't aware of it. After I get up and move around - headache is gone.

I've been a night person most of my life and get energetic mostly past 1 am. I don't wake up out of breath except for rare bad nightmares that scare the devil out of me. I had many panic attacks and shortness of breath before I learned how to talk myself "down" from them.( saw psychiatrist for many years)
I’m like you - definitely a night person. If I didn’t have to conform to society, I probably wouldn’t see much daylight.
just out of grins and giggles you might try one of those quickie questionairs online...
there are several questionairs on the following site. All are PDF ...
http://sleepmedicine.com/content.cfm?article=26

here is a discussion on the STOP BANG questionair from a cardeologist point of view.

I am being evaluated by a Cardeologist as well. But when they measured my neck it was seventeen inches in diameter.... Which is signifigant....

So I want to survive Cancer and dodge the heart attack.... Get my health in order to start loosing wieght. At 57 BMI i am at risk... My blood pressure shoots up to almost 200 on occasion. I have good BP meds now though.... .... One thing at a time.

The process.... The Whole process... will bring my weight down Then I will be sucessful at taking the rest off.

You’re on the right track, Deb. Some of those steps may start out as baby steps, but you’ll get there!

That would fit my pattern. Before I was diagnosed I woke up with a headache every day. It would go away after a time. I'm OK with my oral device overnight but if I happen to fall asleep in the middle of the day (narcolepsy, old age nap??) while on the computer (laptop, in lap on couch) I will wake up with a headache and my head will be "fuzzy" for some time. It is not a pleasant feeling.

Oh and I get the headache too. Not every day but on days where I am so exhausted I sleep hard a good eight hours.
Or you were having apnea "attacks" all night long and not sleeping well at all. My wife figured out I had a problem. Not because I was snoring but because I would stop breathing and then startle and start breathing again. I never woke up, or at least not enough to notice such things. She just happened to not be sleeping well on occasion.

I didnt wake up... either. I had nightmares ... I did wake up thinking I was having a heart attack on a couple of occasions. Gasping for breath Heart beating as if I had run a marathon. No pain... Each person is different.

Sleep apnea is a terrible affliction. I even had surgery for it but now they say it doesn't help. ( i knew that)
Most painful surgery i have had to date and it was useless.
