My leukemia's back.

My mom set up my dad's closet so that there was never a problem. And anyway, he only ever wore white, black, or blue dress shirts. And all of the suits could match any of the shirts. :hu

So it was just the ties... and my mom organized those.

He did come home one say with his new glasses.... pink. My mom marched him back to the glasses place, and fussed at the people working there when they didn't want to swap them out. She said "HOW could you not have thought to mention to him that the glasses he was picking where pink? HOW? Just LOOK at the man!" And there is my dad, nicely dressed, in a suit, ironed shirt.....

Anyway, they swapped out the glasses for free. My dad thought that they were gray.

As to you not being colorblind... if your dad wasn't colorblind, and you are female, you won't be either. He gave you his "able to see color" X.

But since your mom was colorblind, then you and your sisters (and your cousins... since their mom was also colorblind) are all carriers... any sons have a 50% chance of being colorblind.

But any of your brothers would have been colorblind.

Al, I had daughters, and to the best of my knowledge, none of them are colorblind. I have a question though......could my daughter pass the gene to my grandson?
Your daughters have a 50% chance of being carriers. I don't think that there is any way to know if they are carriers.... unless you do a DNA test.

BUT... if any of them ARE carriers, then 50% chance for their sons to be colorblind.

Colorblind kids are actually pretty easy to figure out.

They color in the trees red, they match the blue blocks with blue blocks, the yellow blocks with the yellow blocks, but the red and green blocks are all scrambled. They see patterns first, and colors second... kids that see colors match by colors first, then by patterns.

Okay guys, just sitting around wondering if I am going to get salmonella or worse. Didn't feel like cooking today. So bought a hefty smoked turkey leg. I have gotten them before at other stores and apart from hating the smokey taste, they were okay.

At lunch I was multitasking eating slices off the leg (very hard to slice by the way and meat not looking smooth like I remember it being but :idunno, doing my word find puzzle book and talking on the phone.

At some point I realized the turkey didn't taste like turkey or smokey, the color of meat was wrong, etc. and maybe it wasn't cooked. Got out a pair of reading glasses and read the tiny label saying to cook to 165 degrees etc. WTH, I figured if it was smoked it must have been cooked.:th

This was too much to contemplate when I have a perpetual lack of sleep. So I took a nap.I just got up. My question is if I get salmonella or worse how long does it take to show up? I know I am a person at high risk due to age, dumbness and other factors.

If I am going to be plagued with the "trots," vomiting etc. I guess I shouldn't go out shopping this weekend. What say you?

PS still off of ice cream - doesn't bother me at all- jeans keep falling down- good except my new ones (several pair) are too big now:barnie
