My leukemia's back.

went to auction last night they have vendors there too (and some are state inspected because they sell food) and found one that was selling head cheese. It had been years since I had some and had to buy some to bring home, made me a little sad because I knew mom would have wanted some since it was food she had while growing up, but it is what it is. Stopped at a friend's house after I went by a dollar store for crackers, and gave him a package he never had it before, I had him try it before I told him what it was and what it was made of. He was okay with it because he knew what was in lunch meat and knew that at least this was made up in a more wholesome manner (this was locally made and may have preservatives, but at least it wasn't made in an industrial meat packing plant).

I almost bought some Spam last week. I had that quite a bit growing up.

It sounds like the head cheese was a bit of a tribute to your Mom.
