My leukemia's back.

Food trends are very weird!

Chutney was hot for a while and is not that good. There was a trend here to put fresh dill in calm chowder at fancy restaurants...Dill? Really?

Dill is a commonly known herb for fish and chicken, I didn't know it was a problem to have it in clam chowder or not? But I know some people claim it needs corn, sometimes lots of it. I'd rather have it with little or no corn, although I do not usually eat the stuff...

Mom preferred the puffed up version of cheese puffs. and I preferred the crunchy, neither of us cared what if any brand we had (meaning generic was okay also). there are hot versions of the stuff, I could not handle the heat (at least of the versions they had at our local stores) and I knew mom wouldn't eat it if I couldn't handle it. I can find the white most of the time in an organic version, but unless it's dirt cheap I won't spend the money they want for it.

I'm glad the kitty is getting better. my last year has really been hell I lost the 2 women I really loved last year, mom and her/our/my cat Princess was Mom's cat that claimed her, uver time she became our cat then because of mom being with my brothers a short time for a couple of hospitalization and rehab periods at home for me she switched to being my cat, plus mom's mental state for her dementia she didn't recognize her cat sometimes or pay much attention to her and I knew it hurt the cats feelings, so she go loving from the only one who dependably gave it to her.

It might be fine but is not in the classic clam chowder recipes.

There was way too much dill in the one at the restaurant.

They do not make clam chowder in SF that way any more which is good since you want clams to be the star in clam chowder

I have never heard of adding dill to clam chowder. It doesn't even sound appealing. As to adding corn, that's for corn chowder. Yes, the clams are to be the star in clam chowder. One thing I do sometimes that's a bit different, is fry bacon, then remove the bacon, adding onions into the bacon grease, and stirring them until they're clear, then adding the clams, and stirring for just a moment, pour off any excess grease, then add milk, etc. It gives it a richer, slightly smoky taste, without changing the overall flavor, like dill would.

That is very close to my clam chowder recipe!

I have had people come over for dinner that said they did not like clam chowder. Usually they like my version.

Every time I go to the grocery store I have to buy Puffy Cheetos. So I did today but already ALL GONE :hit. I only buy the small 2/$ 1.00 bags - just one. See I can control myself sometimes. And I only bought a 3 pk. of Magnum Ice Cream Bars, Double Caramel- my favorite. 3 bars are going to cause a problem because there is just no way they will last 3 days.
