Chickens and socks...now there's a topic. Everyone knows socks go on feet!

And doesn't everyone knows it's not cool for a chicken to wear shoes with socks? What a fashion faux pas that would be!


Now it the chicken's feet are cold, it's ok to wear socks (but not with shoes). And of course, fit is important.

Will my rooster die if he eats socks?

My Pet Chicken sells a rooster collar--They cannot be eaten and do work some to make a rooster less noisy.

Of course, some of the roosters who wear those collars end up aspirating, and choking to death, but at least they are quieter that way.

I can't believe no one thought to tell this poor befuddled soul what the REAL problem is with a rooster eating a sock. The REAL problem is now you don't have a matched pair of socks to wear. Really messes up the whole coordinated business casual look we all aspire to for Fridays. That's the real reason it's not a good idea to let a rooster eat your sock!

My sock drawer is well appointed with single socks looking for a match!

Ken just managed to get a difficult program and all of it's files reloaded onto his computer and he's crowing about it. Somebody please, get me a sock!

Look out, Ken... here she comes! Blooie, just be sure he doesn't have one of those mis-shapen first pullet eggs to defend himself with!

I'm here - kinda sorta. We just arrived in Riverton for a 4 day conference so checking in will be catch as catch can.

Blooie, I've been to Riverton before! My brother used to have a ranch right outside of town there. How long of a drive is that from where you live?

Took us about 3 hours to get here. That's cool that you know where this place is! Today is all the fol-de-rol of checking in, getting credentials and conference packet and such. There's a Barbeque tonight. Tomorrow the junk begins. We have to be at the sessions meeting at 8:00am - Ken in tux and me in a formal. It'll be dead run from then until checkout on Sunday afternoon.

I have to be in a formal from breakfast until noon tomorrow, a dress for dinner, a different dress for lunch Friday, a different formal for dinner Friday night, and a dress and later a pants suit or casual dress for Saturday. Yep, sounds like a blast to me!
