My leukemia's back.

Sugar was 102 this morning! My first "normal" number....so happy.

Dr office called and I'm scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy this Friday. That will have enough time for results when the team from the University comes down the following week. I so hope I'm wrong and just worried for nothing, I'll gladly listen to a zillion "I told you so"'s it that's the case.

JW, sorry about the back. Weren't you doing better for a while? Was it just all the walking that flared things again?

Any update about Blooie?

Let's just hope it's much ado about nothing!

Thanks Ron for posting that link. It's just as hard to keep track of her now as is was before she was in the hospital

So, my doctors down here don't use a drill for the biopsy. I called up to the University and talked with one of the nurse coordinators, to see if I'm okay to have it done manually or just go up there and have it done. Part of my concern is, now that I'm on Medicare and not Medicaid, I have a 20% copay. I don't want to fork out money for a failed procedure where they don't get a good enough specimen. This is going to be spendy enough without something like that happening.

Prayers for you Rachel! I hope you are worried for nothing too.

I hurt my back at work unloading a distribution truck when the boxes were flying down a conveyor. In 1999! I was still in my 20s and bullet proof. Lol! Long story short, I had no idea arthritis would settle in, mobility would be very limited on occasion, and it hurts like **** some days. For the most part, it has a small dull ache 24/7. I take ibuprofen (2-200mg) about once, maybe twice a week. I put ice on it, maybe once a month. I put Ben-gay, icy-hot or something on it about twice a month. So, for Me in my 40s now, without doctors, it's managable. Sometimes it gets out of whack & I walk all hunched over, almost in tears with pain. Yesterday & today were great examples of those days. I stand all day at work, so I don't think mobility is an issue. Just screwed it up earlier in life, & now, have to deal with it periodically. It usually only hurts BAD for one or 2 weeks out of the year. It feels a lot better tonight then it did this morning. Hopefully it will continue to get better. Usually walking isn't a big deal, not sure why yesterday was triggered pain???

You all have a good night.:D

I feel for you...been dealing with chronic pain for years.....I can't take NSAIDs. Without pain killers I'd sit around all day....get well...rest up as much as you can.

Sorry RACHEL....I don't miss marrow biopsy one bit....freaking suckyest thing in the world to go through.
I used to have to go through them without any meds cuz I was the only one in the house who drove back then.
I also had very dense bones....don't mind telling you some might foul language can from my mouth when they did one......

JWB, I hear where you're coming from. The things we do in our 20's have a way of coming back to bite us later. Take care, glad to hear it's better tonight!

@ronott1 thank you so much for the Blooie news!
