My leukemia's back.

Morning!

My first day of not working. Still not sure how I feel about this. But, I've got a good amount of stuff to do, and all The Locusts are home so I'll put them to work. I'm making baked blueberry French toast and bacon for lunch, so they'll be well compensated

Honey and I are trying to get our finances in order again. We'd done Financial Peace years ago and have a good foundation, it's just gone sideways since I got sick. Well, we really need a new place. That's motivation. I think I really messed up by going back to work, now the boys' Social Security won't count for our income and I don't think we can get financed. Maybe the legalized pot will help us out, and someone will buy this place to grow. I'd sure hate to see that happen, but at this point I don't really care. It's all around us, why not here too?

Outpost, it's seriously too bad you're so far away. My guys would love to hang out all night and pop some coons for you.

We had the dogs going nuts last night, with the smell of skunk in the air (real skunk, not the neighbor's pot plants

). Apparently they scared it off, we never saw it and eventually they quieted down. We left them out most of the night, just to be safe. I've got a lot of littles in the main pen that's not predator proof. I wouldn't mind so much losing some of the little cockerel, but my luck it would take only the pullets, right?

Hi Rachel....not feeling up to much today...yet.......too sore.
Really got out off breath loading my boat last night......think it's the humidity and something in the air.
But try and enjoy your time.
Pass me a few of those blueberry French toast things.......my wife makes awesome French toast.

I always tell chicken jokes when I do presentations at school. So, I've got jokes! Corny, but jokes!

Why did the chicken cross the playground?
To get to the other slide!

A rooster goes to the library, tells the librarian "Book, book". She hands him 2 books and he goes out the door. Next day, same rooster goes up to the librarian and says "Book, book". She hands him 2 books & he goes out the door. The librarian is curious and follows him. All the way to a pond. The rooster holds up the two books showing a frog. The frog says "Read it, read it!"

I can't sleep after seeing all the raccoons on the trail cam this morning!

Rachel, so glad to hear you are feeling better. About the room for more chick(en)s, Isn't there always room?

Love your chicken jokes. I have done a presentation to first graders for the past 2 years. Those jokes would be handy!

Hi everyone!

It is sweltering heat here and with the river about 10 yards away from the house we have high humidity here...I get exhausted and have to come back to the house frequently to cool down;

Luckily now that the new coop is up and running it is a pleasure to clean out the chicken house...the perches are at a low level and light and easy to move outside to wash and disinfect...I will have to take some pictures for you to see all the hard work that my Husband put into building it....all under my explicit instructions of course!

Well, I suppose I should get back to work for a while...my rabbits need cleaning out...I clean everywhere daily as otherwise the pesky disgusting flies bother the animals...as it is the flies here bite us too and draw blood!

Thank you Sour!

I am enjoying an anti Hospital time at the moment...I have declined surgery to my left foot...I told the Surgeon that I would see him next year..I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist at Hospital in July and we have our next appointment in January 2017...I still have my weekly appointment here at home with the nurse but in general all is going well!

Best foot forward I say...

Best foot forward and one step at a time - works for me.

Hi, Friday, see ya lurking. Behaving today aren't you - I've been sorely tempted, but am behaving also.
