My leukemia's back.

@Blooie glad you had a good time with your family. Have a safe trip home!

Blooie--glad your family is doing better. Ashley looks wonderful! Is she in remission, or still doing treatment, I can't remember.

We put Pete down today. He was getting worse, and appeared to be painful. That was the deal breaker. Bless Honey's heart, I'm so grateful for him.

Stupid cat.

Well, on the silver lining side, I'd been worried about trying to move him, when we do find a new place. I know cats don't always move well, especially outdoor cats. So now, I don't have to worry about that.

Even when you now it's the right thing it's still not easy to do.

Oh, Rachel, I am so sorry about Pete

Uncle Jeremy with baby Carson.
Baby was 10 pounds and 23 inches.

Yowza, as they said when my kids were born, not a baby - a toddler! (mine were 10 lbs 8 oz and 10 lbs 12 oz)
Heading for home after a fabulous Thanksgiving. My sister continues to improve and Ashley, well...Ashley looks and feels fantastic!!!

Wish she'd have turned around, but that's Ashley in front, my sister Linda at center, and Ashley's sister Addi with the dark hair at the back of the tree.

What a wonderful photo, Blooie - so glad you had a great holiday weekend!

Thanks all. It really stinks. But it had reached the point where I was pretty much ready for him to either get better or move on. Poor thing was just miserable. It just stinks.....we have half a dozen other cats i could lose and not blink an eye. It had to be Pete

.

Long day. My disability is up for review and I've been gathering documents and appointment schedules for the last year. It's been kind of a day of reflection. I know I tended to downplay things here at home, especially for the boys, but I was one sick puppy. So glad I'm still here!

Had an appointment with my PCP today and got to review labs. I'd been worried about my diabetes. Sugars have been 200-250 before lunch and dinner

. I've had a hard time since they increased the prednisone, both physically and emotionally. Pity party and all that. Gained weight, sugars not as well controlled. Well, I though. My A1C was only 5.7! Translated to an average sugar of 118 they said. I almost started crying, I was so relieved. And a bit more motivated to pay better attention to what I'm eating. And try to exercise more.....although I do think cleaning stalls burns a lot of calories. Especially when you can't breathe......

Cataract surgery tomorrow

. Joy. Well, at least I get to spend the day with Honey

Good luck with the surgery... Did they say the cataracts are caused by the prednisone?
Prednisone has destroyed my joints.... But my eyes are doing well.... Even with the glaucoma.
5.7 that's not to bad.... My A1C is 7.8
I cut a lot of (but not all) sugary soda and candy and such out of my diet.
I lost some weight.... Hopefully my A1C will be down now.
