My leukemia's back.

Lazy Gardener, that babysitter is lucky you didn't have her pay for damages. Good grief- I would never approach a pressure cooker under any circumstances. My mom used it all the time and we hade assorted stains and food on the ceiling. I will say she wasn't afraid of it, like we all were. But, she didn't learn anything from it either. Isn't that what they call insanity?

Bunny ,did just see it now thanks to you. I've got tons of birthday cards but, what kind do you send...... religious, funny,

Explosions all around! sheesh, I leave for a few days and you all are making messes everywhere

I've never been too scared of a pressure cooker, but I have been leery of cooking things like that in the microwave. I've never had an explosion that blew the door open, but I've had some tremendous messes inside.

Went over and visited Mom for a few days, it was nice to see her and my sister.

There's a pizza place near Mom that has a lunch buffet and an indoor play area, when the kiddos were little and stayed with her they went to lunch there quite a bit. We all met there for lunch yesterday. Sugar Monkey told us he was always nervous they wouldn't let him back in now.....okay, what's the story behind that? Well, apparently, when he was young--not sure how old, but I'm guessing around 5 or 6?....he was helping himself at the salad buffet, and they had chocolate pudding. He scooped himself pudding on his plate, licked the spoon, and stuck it back into the bowl. An employee saw him and got so mad and he couldn't figure out why, cause we always licked the spoon at home.....she told him she had to throw the whole bowl of pudding out and he just didn't see why, he would have eaten it.....so funny, hearing this from a 15 year old, his perspective ten years ago.

I just wonder how many kids have done that and no one saw......

And that's one of the reasons I don't like to eat at buffets.

You know, almost every time I eat at a restaurant, I come away wondering why I did that. Part of it is the foolish stupid expense of it, the other part of it is that I often get better meals at home. for the time involved in driving to town, waiting to be seated, waiting to be served, driving home, I could cook a very nice meal for a fraction of the price, and enjoy the meal without being rushed. And, I'd know how that food was handled, and not wonder what went on with my food behind closed doors!

Do you know what bugs me the most about eating in restaurants? I see them cleaning tables. I see that the floors are clean and the staff is well groomed and clean. But I've never, ever seen anyone wiping down the salt and pepper shakers. That bugs the stuffin' outta me.....how clean were the previous guests' hands, especially in places where part or all of the meal is eaten with the hands and not utensils, like seafood places or bar-be-que joints. I dunno - is it just me? I actually ask if they will wipe the shakers down. Can't stand it otherwise!

LG, I am with you but sometimes I can only get that food item no where else! And having a brother and 2 of my own working in food establishments doesn't help. LOL. The things you hear...
Here's a chicken question for you all... I have 2 gorgeous, nice roosters- a Bielfelder and a cream legbar- and 7 hens-CCL,lavender and buff orp, OE, EE, Welsummer, and a mixed one. IF I were to hatch out a few to sell, what would you label the chicks as?? EES? OEs? barnyard mix?? My Bielefelder is the #1 rooster and the CCL sneaks in while he isn't looking. Would you hatch this mix out? Why or why not?? Or would you go for buying Jubilee hatcing eggs?
