My leukemia's back.

You guys are just silly! Focus on Rachel....I'm just fine! Just testing to see how full the waiting room was now that we can't see the list of visitors on the side panel anymore.

Phil, I got to join the Prednisone club tonight. Do I get a T- shirt or baseball cap or anything?
Wee will have to work on the tee shirt.... one that says " I'm not crabby I'm on prednisone"

Take it easy my friend..... this may be Rachel's thread but were here for anyone who needs it.
I'm sure Rachel would agree..... and I'm hoping the morphine is at least allowing her pleasant dreams......:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs.....a round off hugs.....ON THE HOUSE

Good morning everyone,
Rachel and family, praying you had a good night.
@Blooie that is NOT a good way to catch a nap girl!!! Seriously, I'm relieved to hear you are ok. BTW, how do you manage to look so good laying in the ER? There is NO WAY I let anyone near me with a camera. Somehow I always manage to look like roadkill!

The focus is always Rachel of course but an extra prayer for us all this morning as well.
Thanks, and thanks everyone. Might I gently suggest that all prayers be held for those who really need them? I'm just fine, really, now that the original scare is behind me!
Now, as for my appearance in the ER -

After heart attack number one, I memorized the protocol in the event of another, in the correct order of things. As soon as you feel the symptoms, pack a bag in case. Then

Take a shower.
Knock the whiskers off your legs.
Apply moisturizer to them so they stay slickery feeling longer than an hour.
Dry and style hair.
Apply makeup. Avoid mascara because at some point in the ER you WILL cry.
Chew an aspirin.
Brush your teeth to get the aspirin out of them.
Go to hospital if you can get there faster than in an ambulance, which we can.

See, it's easy!!

Filing this for future reference!!!

I'd say pack your bag ahead of time and grab the aspirin on your way into the shower! That way you have an extra 10 minutes in the shower or enough time to put on something cute or to grab a snack bcs once you get there they do not let you eat or drink anything!!
LOL, Blooie! Thanks for the laugh! The photo was fabulous and so was the post. :lau
:caf Just pulling up a chair with the rest of you all...
and hopefully in 2-3 weeks will start another full time job??? The interview went well and the director said at the end I was the most qualified one but they have to go through the motions. And He is a Christian that encourages you to pray with the residents!!! :weeNo hiding there like at my last place!
Hugs you all!

I'll be praying that you get this job HB. Sounds like a winner. I have pulled my patients into a room and closed the door to pray with them before. Other times, I simply pray quietly with them where we are. It all depends on who is around.

Wow...I'm not really the crying type, but I'm not gonna lie. This thread brought me to tears. I don't really know Rachel, but I have seen her around a lot and always looked up to her as a wise, godly example. Ever since LG told us that her leukemia is back on another thread, I've been praying for her.

While we can't know the future I believe - no, I know - it will be good, no matter what happens. God loves His children.

May I join? :)
