My leukemia's back.

yeah, I don't think it's unethical, it's just slow and there's no...I can't think of the word....accountability. No one in the office checks to see if they're actually doing their job in a timely manner. The dental office tried to tell me yesterday they wouldn't get my information to the oral surgeon's office until next week. Seriously? I've had one visit of approximately 10 minutes, so my chart is like 2 pages. It's going to take you 4 business days to get that faxed? Are you kidding me? I kept cool but explained that wasn't going to work for me and it needed to be expedited. A few minutes on hold, and magically I can call the oral surgeons and schedule my appt. Amazing! 4 days of work accomplished in just a few minutes. Makes me wonder if she's going to take the next few days off?

Hematology appt today. Basic labs are still looking good. Was very blunt to the PA and even said we were discussing selling our home and moving to Portland

to get access to good medical care. He expressed frustration with the Portland team--apparently there's not a good working relationship there and neither team really knows what each other is responsible for. But, he did look at the specialist's note and see the meds. No dosages were given, so he's going to e-mail up there and clarify, then he said he'd be happy to Rx for me. Why he couldn't do that a month ago, I'm not sure. Regardless, I'm realizing whatever they do isn't going to "fix" my lungs, I'm always going to have respiratory issues from here on out. Lifelong non-smoker, always had great lungs, I can really belt out songs singing along to the radio....not so much anymore. Now singing and standing at the same time is a challenge.

Went to the coop this morning and found my splash Ameraucana rooster dead, and thus my sex link project. I don't have another cockerel with the correct genetics to take his place, so I'll either have to find a young bird or some hatching eggs if I want to continue. I may just go in another direction. I loved the idea of the blue egg laying blue hens, but it wasn't working as I thought. maybe I'll just go with b/b/s Ameraucana and sell them straight run or grow them out until I can sex them.

Ba-ha-ha.

yep. That's funny.

Glad they got the paperwork you needed. Frustrates me when people drag their feet about things that they are perfectly capable of doing. I'm praying for you Rachel. Do you think it was the treatments and medicines that caused your lungs to be weak? Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your rooster as well. Yea, my chicken breeding plans have changed over and over and are now nonexistent because of MG. We have a closed flock. I have culled a few and I'm sure the need will be to cull a few more-and I am positive we will lose much more this winter than in past winters. Tonight, during my daughter's parent teacher conference, her science teacher asked me if we had any fertile eggs so they can hatch them out in class. I had to explain to him that they have MG and will pass it on, so NO, no fertile eggs.

Rachel...beside that pneumonia thing have they ever told you want specifically is wrong with your lungs...how well do they gas exchange?
Even with all the problems I've had they can tell me exactly what is wrong.
It seems to me they should have answers
And you should be aloud the most relief you can get. Trust me I know about not being able to breathe...it is the worst thing...ever.

Rachel. the last place I had my mammogram at they took my new insurance card, but copied the old number off of the base line xrays.. 13year old insurance number.
The insurance company declined the claim. We called told them what they did, they resubmitted the SAME OLD NUMBER... grrr. Same lazy mistake twice, and they want us to pay late payment fees.
the insurance company says that until they put the new number on the claim they can not pay it.
I agree with the insurance company.
I never agree with the insurance company.

But that office is SO messed up... I guess they just won't get paid.
Have the hematology office send it to you and you can walk it over to them.
A good office manager is worth their weight in gold.
I think something un-ethical is going on at the place I am dealing with.
You are just dealing with incompetency.
either way -not the way health care should be run.
I left a medical practice because of incompetent office staff. Sent me a mammogram report on a mammogram I'd not even had yet. Told me they couldn't call in a rx. for me because they were too busy seeing real patients.

This stupid day stinks! Ken left town yesterday for a trip to Boise and he'll be gone until Sunday. Our dog died from 2 massive seizures less than 3 hours after I'd called him all excited because Kendra carried on her first ever real 'conversation" today - and it was with Molly. Molly came in from outside and as usual I asked Kendra if she wanted to give Molly her treat. As she leaned forward to give it to her she clearly said, "Here ye go" and when Molly took it and turned away to enjoy it she petted her and said, "Good girl." Kendra's never put words into sentences before, ever. The first word Katie ever said was "puppy" and the first word Kendra ever said was "dog". And when Kendra comes over tomorrow the first thing she'll do after Jenny puts her down is start calling "Lolly." This stupid day stinks! Little Diane and Jamie grew up with Molly, too, and Evan was crazy about her.

Little Diane and Molly three years ago.

Evan and Katie (4 years old each) found always found Molly to be a willing pillow.

Ken and Molly take a nap. She could sleep for hours in this position. Never moved until the other person got up.

Best buddies!

Both irreplaceable - Molly and a very young, little Scout.

Never had one minute's worth of worry when she was out with the chickens....even when a chicken ran right out from under her.

RIP, Molly Ka-Powly. You will be missed by everyone from your family to folks strolling by in the evenings and coming up to the gate to say "hi" and give you a pet. This stupid day stinks!
