Wait... how soon are you planning on moving??? And yes!!! to a one year transplant celebration party! Trout cakes sound awesome! Can you bring some more to the party? You have some of us drooling.Potato chips would be my downfall too![]()
I turned that pretty trout into four nice trout cakes for lunch, I even shared one with Honey, cause I'm sweet that way. But just one, cause I'm not too sweet.![]()
Had a little sunshine today, so we all got some work done outside. Honey was on call, so I took a little road trip with him to deliver supplies to a patient who lives in an outlying area, it was good to spend the time together. My breathing is doing okay, but I still get short of breath with exerting myself or lots of bending over or carrying things. I'm also feeling more muscle weakness, probably from the long term steroids, and I'm needing to work on that. We've not gone to the YMCA for too long, we've got to get back into that habit.
I'm going to start exploring options for going back to work. There's a temp agency advertising for nurses I'll send a resume to tomorrow. I can only work like 2-3 shifts a month, that will probably be just fine for starting out. Part of me is eager to go back to work, but most of me wants to wait until we get moved and settled in the new place. It will be so much smoother if I'm not working. Plus, I'm still worried about being the co-worker everyone has to make allowances for. I've worked with folks who weren't dependable due to health issues before, and tell the truth I really disliked it. So it's hard for me to think about being that person......well, something to talk to the University docs about I guess. Next month is my one year anniversary of my transplant! Seems like time had both flown and dragged.
I think I may celebrate by ordering chicks. And pulling out the incubator. Sounds like a party to me![]()
