My leukemia's back.

Rachel, congrats on the fishing trip! Glad you had a good time. You have caught 1 more fish than I ever have, lol.

I caught 2 small ones but my husband Tom caught a nice one
400

He only out fished me cuz I broke a rib waiting to get into the lake. I had to have them potato chips at 4 in the morning I stood on the rim of the my husbands truck to reach in the back bed and his friend who was driving let his foot off the brake...I lost my footing and my rib popped in and out on the side of the bed. So today I am milking my injury :) breakfast in bed...

Potato chips would be my downfall too

I turned that pretty trout into four nice trout cakes for lunch, I even shared one with Honey, cause I'm sweet that way. But just one, cause I'm not too sweet

Had a little sunshine today, so we all got some work done outside. Honey was on call, so I took a little road trip with him to deliver supplies to a patient who lives in an outlying area, it was good to spend the time together. My breathing is doing okay, but I still get short of breath with exerting myself or lots of bending over or carrying things. I'm also feeling more muscle weakness, probably from the long term steroids, and I'm needing to work on that. We've not gone to the YMCA for too long, we've got to get back into that habit.

I'm going to start exploring options for going back to work. There's a temp agency advertising for nurses I'll send a resume to tomorrow. I can only work like 2-3 shifts a month, that will probably be just fine for starting out. Part of me is eager to go back to work, but most of me wants to wait until we get moved and settled in the new place. It will be so much smoother if I'm not working. Plus, I'm still worried about being the co-worker everyone has to make allowances for. I've worked with folks who weren't dependable due to health issues before, and tell the truth I really disliked it. So it's hard for me to think about being that person......well, something to talk to the University docs about I guess. Next month is my one year anniversary of my transplant! Seems like time had both flown and dragged.

I think I may celebrate by ordering chicks. And pulling out the incubator. Sounds like a party to me

Sorry for the broken rib! Ouch!
Now did we ever get photos of the newest terrier around here? And Blooie, hugs to you and Ken. Thought about my D.S. girl going home & seeing Jesus many times. May you both be refreshed with good memories and much grace abundantly poured out with heaps of God's love on top.
Phil, Stay warm! News has it you all are next for snow! We got over 3'. Schools and colleges were shut down for a week. Yea! We loved it!
check in later.... starting to have "chick fits" like some of you!

Good morning!

Rachel, wow, hard to believe next month is your 1 year anniversary. Definitely cause for a party! And I think ordering chicks and dusting off the incubator are a great idea. What breed of chicks are you wanting to go with?
