My leukemia's back.

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all faring well with the changes that so many of you are going through...

Rachel,

So sorry for your losses of the chicks...doors shutting is one of my greatest concerns for my animals..usually caused by a gust of wind that will slam a door...only one of mine so far was unfortunate enough to have a door shut when she was halfway through...I thought she would not survive..somehow she did, she was a little wobbly for a few days but she did not suffer permanent injury;

So...thinking about those who are engaged in the battle with weight loss...are you struggling with eating salads everyday ? When I visited relatives in the USA we had dinner in a local restaurant...the waitress spoke so rapidly that I did not hear all of what she had said was on the menu... I ordered my meal and was surprised to see that I was given a salad...thinking that the waitress had misunderstood my order, I was too embarrassed to make an issue of it...I waded through my salad, noticing that everyone else had salad on their plates too...how weird...also...nobody but myself had finished their salad meal...THEN...the meal we had ordered arrived...I was like a sheep with bloat...nobody told me that the salad was gratuit...

NFC..how exciting...moving home in a couple of weeks..it will be worth all of the hard work of parting with "things", no doubt you will accumulate plenty of happy memories for your future home...cupboard stashes are my forte..well, I forgot that I had that...will come in useful one day...yeah...like I will try to find a use for that useless item I am guarding...!

By the way...anyone that thinks I live in that tall building...NO! That is the mill house that will need renovating AFTER my new housing for chickens, ducks, geese , horses and donkeys...they are the priority here;

Today was a milestone for me...the farrier was arriving this afternoon to attend to the hooves of donkeys and horses...my hubby cannot catch a cold let alone one of my horses...so...boots on my feet...instant agony...but I did it...walked ( limped more like);;;put headcollars on horses and donkeys and led them up to the field behind the house...this evening my feet are hot...well burning actually..but well worth the effort...I am so happy!!!!

Prayers and well wishes for everyone here....

Love to you all!

Yeah friends... Wasn't feeling well for a few days.... But doing a bit better now. Rachel don't over do it.... Nuff said... See you all in the funny papers
Instinct...I was about to pm you ...I knew you were not well...spooky eh?

I pray for you and your family every night...as I do for everyone and their families who are suffering...I prefer to pray at night...it is a peaceful and thought provoking time for me as like you and NFC...I do not sleep much...it is a time for reflection and thanks for having found you all here...!

What are the funny papers ?????

Hey, Suzie, slowly but surely you are getting there.
Yes...I am making great strides...I just need to reel in my hubby a bit as he is likely to prise me out of the house at 7.00 am to get to work with my animals...I will get back to normal very soon in my own time!

The door issue - the only animals around here who have had door encounters are the darn cats who insist on waiting until the last minute as you are closing the sliding door and then dart through (because, as anyone with cats knows, they are never sure which side of the door they want to be on)......kind of like people who try to "beat the train", sometimes they make it, sometimes not so much........none of them have had any serious injuries, which is surprising as sometime that door is closing awfully hard when they get caught in it.

Wow - red letter day indeed -- sorry you are paying the price now, but glad you were able to do it.

Exciting day for sure....but you know what we all tell each other on here - do NOT overdo anything! (Still, those things we force our way through sometimes feel better than the ache we get from doing the forcing, don't they?)

Jenny, Kendra and I are leaving for Denver the end of this month. Kendra's surgery is scheduled for June 1st. I'm actually more nervous than I was when we were expecting Kendra - first of all I hate driving in Denver. Jenny and I were there for 6 weeks before Kendra was born, then another week while Jenny was back in ICU, and all I could do was get from the Ronald McDonald House to the hospitals in one direction and Target in the other. And this surgery will be so hard on that little girl - no way to explain things or make it easier for her. I hate this! It stinks!!
