My leukemia's back.

We also have another leukemia fighter who has been sorta "adopted" by Team Rachel, although I only update her status once in a while. My little great-niece Ashley was diagnosed in January of 2015 at only 6 years old, and she's such a sweet little thing. That's how I ended up sticking around so long - well, besides the fact that most of the Team has become very dear to my heart. Rachel has been such a help for me understanding some of the terms and such involved with this awful disease. And our own @LittleLakePhil fought his battle several years ago so he's been a tremendous help to Rachel as she goes through all the ups and downs he experienced. He's often a voice of calm, a cheerer-upper and adds a dose of really good humor. Well, not all of it really good, but usually pretty good!

Every Team member here is special and we are so glad you popped in! You're welcome to stick around, too!

Agreed!  Not to mention what that's doing to the moral fiber of this country.  What is that telling our kids?  An other thing that irks the day lights out of me, is this:  Why is it, that in most of the adventure shows,  the main character male hero, and the main charactor female hero have such a disparity of wardrobe?  Why is it that the guy gets to dress appropriate to the scene and activity, while the female is left running around, scantily clad, high heels, with various body parts hanging out to be exposed to the elements????  I can tell you that if I was going on an adventure, that I'd be dressed in plenty of layers, wearing sensible shoes, and I'd have plenty of rope, bubble gum, duct tape, and a good sharp multi purpose jack knife.  If I'm gonna be fighting elements and elephants, foes and villains, saving the world from certain doom... I'm not gonna be standing around in my stilettos with body parts hanging out, waiting for the guy to get around to coming up with a plan!

AMEN!

I'm a bigTV guy but don't really watch too many commercials since the DVR came along....
:lau

Love the ability to skip commercials

Well, now... if she's your wife... What ever you do in the woods will be perfectly moral... unless of course you scare the squirrels. I recommend that you find the morels before you do that other thing.

Otherwise, you might forget all about them. Got black flies out your way? They're getting hungry here. Not much playing in the woods here this time of year!

Phil, you did that long, long ago.

Well... Didn't find any morels think we needed one more good rain... Fire danger is extremely high too dry... But it is 80 degrees here today....

66 was the high for us today. Baby chicks are discovering the lower level of the hoop coop: where all the fun is. One will jump out, or get pushed... not sure which, then the panic scream will start: "Help, I've fallen, and can't get up!" Some of the braver ones have come out to sun themselves on the ledge to the pop door. I put a bale of shavings in front of the big door to give them an extra height advantage, and put a lathe strip across from the big door to the perch in the open area. Seems to give them the confidence they need to go out and play. It's warm in that coop today. May have to take the storm window out this weekend.
