My leukemia's back.

Beautiful morning here -- strange, yellow object in the sky, not sure what that is, lol.....seems we are going to get a "sunbreak" before the next 9 days of rain sets in. Just said goodbye to my mom, she came up yesterday and spent the night -- SOOOO awesome that we can do that now, and definitely makes this whole move worth it. Off to yet another job interview this morning, really trying not to get discouraged. On the upside, I had an interview at the same place day before yesterday (different department) so I'm less nervous about this one since I at least have a feel for how they do their interviews.

I know what you mean about being closer to family making the move worth it. Once we moved to WY, we're now within 1 hour of my favorite cousin and 2.5 hours of my brother. Really nice to be able to get together easier.

Good luck with the job hunting OGM, the right one is out there just waiting for you!

Back at ya.  31.3 this morning, and temp continuing to drop.  I have lots of outdoor stuff left to do, but not brave enough to face that.  Wood fire feels too nice.

Yup winter is great approaching.... I really can't wait.

Hey Phil, how's things?

I think the rain is keeping us from getting too cold yet. Talk about a mixed blessing......

I get to go get another of my "baby shots" today......yippee. It really hasn't been too bad, I've not had much of a reaction even to the tetanus. Need to get all The Locusts down for our flu shots also, they're my "herd" so they all get the needle lol....they love that, but I made apple crisp last night so today they'll pretty much do any thing for me!

I'm okay here Rachel.... Breathing has been okay.... :fl
Pain not so good but if rather have the pain and be able to breathe at this point.

How are you doing?

I remember getting all those baby shots again.... I wish i could have gotten chicken pox shot though. I've had then 3 times in my life. Very rare but the last time they dam near killed me. Now i get them shingles alot... Lucky though i don't get them bad.... Usually just a small patch on my lower back.

I don't know about Phil, but for me the shingles shot is waaaaay down, at the very last tail end of my shots. They said maybe 3 years from now? I think it's something about the type of vaccine it is. Since he gets shingles so much, I'm wondering why the Dr doesn't do acyclovir or something like that---I've been on that basically since I was diagnosed, for the main purpose of preventing shingles and/or herpes outbreaks. Those are both very common in immune suppressed folks.

OGM--wasn't it a beautiful day?

We had buyers driving from Boise for some of our cows. I had three very specific prayers..

Let us have good weather.
Let no one get injured.
Let the buyers be happy with the cattle.

Well, of course God is good, and all those things happened. But, I should have asked a few more things....

Please let the buyers not get lost.
Please let the truck not get stuck.

We wound up rounding up cattle in the dark, and cause we had to use a different truck, the step into the trailer was chest high for the little ladies. Was kind of a challenge, but no one got hurt!

It's kind of sad selling some of them off, but we really needed to thin the numbers some. Too many animals there, too much mud, too much hay. We kept one cow, her heifer calf that's close to weaning, and the cow is bred for a spring calf. Should be manageable. And now, we don't have to worry about re-breeding a cow until spring.

Honey and Big Boy are going hunting today, trying to fill Big Boy's buck tag. I'm taking Echo to a job interview, then going to an open house. Oh, and it's Hatch Day---5 baby chicks so far!

Phil, why can't you get the shingles shot ?
..

They will not allow me to get any live vaccine shots.... Period.

And they used to give me antivirals..... But my singles are very mild now..... I get them in the same place and as long as they don't get bad i just ride them out.

I used to get them real bad on my stomach.... I was miserable.

We brought our remaining cow, her calf and our mini steer calf home today. Added a Boer goat doe also. Not quite sure where we're going to house them all, it's too much for our property. But the place we were keeping them fell through, so we had to move them. Loading them there was kind of exciting and a lot of chasing. Thankfully, Honey is the bomb with backing his truck and the trailer in tight spaces and got them right to the door to the stall to unload here. My horses are a little freaked out, they've never seen cattle before. I'm hoping to get the calves tamed down a bit, since I'm home all the time and they're here now. Not sure momma cow is going to get "tame", but she's okay to be around.

Going to look at another house tomorrow evening. Gotta call the lung Dr tomorrow also, see if they can get me in. Not sure if it's the weather, or what, but the breathing is not doing well. Chasing cows in the cold didn't help, I"m sure

.

Outpost, you doing okay?

Just feeling a little pitiful today. Suns's shining and everything, but this breathing is getting me down. Went for another test today and it's even worse--I could have told them that

. Just feeding the animals is getting to be too much to do all at once. I have to stop and take breathers.

The lung Dr is going to talk to the hematology Dr and they're all going to talk to the University Drs and see about changing my immune suppressant. I told them today I'm not sure how much higher I can go on the prednisone, or how much longer. My sugars are a mess, I'm gaining weight like crazy, I can't sleep, and interacting with the public gets interesting at times. Having the more animals home is taking more time and effort. I unplugged the incubator, I need to take a break for a while. The hens aren't laying much anyway, and I'm not wanting to get set up with lights and stuff cause I'm not sure how it would work when we move.

maybe a new house would help?
