Yup....I freeze a lot of stuff..... We are two people with the freezers.... And a spare bedroom for a pantry.... Wall to wall canned goods..... My wife is a good canner.
Her problem is she never learned to cook for two.... She still cooks meals like there is five people living here.

12 kids here between the 2 of us. Money was tight at times for sure. DH ended up working 2 jobs..one part time. Our kids paid for everything ...big..that they wanted. Cars, education. We have 3 nurses in the family, one, just got her nurses degree a few years back, with 3 children. She's worked at the State Hospital for close to 25 years, that's Utah County's Mental hospital. Started low on the totem pole, now a nurse and a boss. She will have a great retirement plan. Another daughter is in the the delivery room helping deliver babies, while another daughter is in the NICU in the same hospital. Teacher, truck driver, a son that has worked in the nursing facility and in charge of the diet area for years, another is in occupational therapy, big big boss there, all own their own homes but our son with Spina Bifida. Rents, not sure if he could handle owning a home. At least he's out on his own. Ok. Bragging done, hope point taken. These kids worked hard while getting where they are today. Had a great example in watching dad take care of them. We had fun doing the camping, fishing, hiking. Going to Disneyland was a treat. Now they are making their own memories with their families and making us grandparents, and, great grandparents. Just found out that we have another great on the way! Sharing a photo from Thanksgiving Day. This isn't even half of our family, at one of our sons home. Come Christmas, we will have to reserve a church building to get is all in. Whoot! ..ok.a couple of photos. Morning all! Cynthia, may I ask a question? would the spinal bif. son be willing to look into a condo? in essence all he would own is between the paint? if there is elec. or plumbing or such repairs certain repairs would be automatically a professional hired repair a while others would be on the condo boards list of responsibility (also hired)? he might have to do some himself, but likely many could be hired out to a jack or jill of all trades (handy man) likely there may be a firm that a condo board may hire for their misc. repairs or a "property manager" (or what ever title that they are given) that does it, and either way the person or company might be willing to do odd jobs for a certain fee.

@Cynthia12 - we didn’t have a “family meal” at Thanksgiving this year, although we did have some family here. DIL and GS came, and we went to my sister in law’s church (along with my folks). Here are a couple of pics of our little visitor.

My nomination for post of the year!!! Without revealing too much, I know some of what you have been through, especially hearing about your (our) Richard. We were at least prepared for Kendra - you had no clue there would be any issues and neither did your doctors! So your family are my heroes!

So Miss Cynthia, you wanted photos? Here’s one of my family at my sister Linda and hubby Russ’ house the Thanksgiving just before Linda’s aneurism Christmas night. This is just some of us......there were 31 of us missing. Yep, 31 AWOL. Ken, me, our kids, grands, and great-grands made 13 missing alone! And I have the honor of being the Matriarch of the clan.
