My LB hasn't layed for 2 days now. She goes into nest box and looks like she's about to lay. My RIR sings for her and everything. When she comes out, no egg.

I don't see any sign that she ate them or have reason to believe she hid them. Maybe I'll do a thorough search of the yard anyway.

There hasn't been any extreme conditions or anything to cause undo stress. The weather has been relatively mild for a week now, although a hot week is supposed to be coming.

She doesn't appear to be behaving any differently either so I don't think she's egg bound.

She's only been laying for almost two weeks now. Is this abnormal?

Not entirely abnormal, but I would think after laying for two weeks she would be on a semi-regular schedule.
I do have one dark brahma hen that goes to the nest box every day like clockwork, whether or not she has an egg to lay that day or not.
I would keep an eye on your hen and check her for eggbound regularly.

I'm afraid to ask the procedure for checking for egg bound, but I'll do what it takes.

I just feel low between the pelvic bones for a hard, egg shaped lump and also check the vent for drainage.
Do a search here on BYC, keyword: egg bound

Its looking like a full blown mutiny now. My RIR didn't lay today either

Correction!

I found an egg that must be from my RIR.

I have no idea when she laid it cause I checked right after her regular time.

No mutiny.

Ok, the LB laid today
