My Little Ducklings!

I kind of wondered if that was why. I'll have to try that, but I'm not sure if I'm coordinated enough to catch and hold more than one at a time lol.

It's a two person job. Recruit an innocent kind bystander. ;)

@bydhatch It's just me, the dogs, and the duckies most of the day. But I managed to catch and hold two at the same time anyway! :weee

Of course they have decided that they prefer being under my chin instead of on my lap, but hey - that's still progress! (First photo is of the two Welsh Harlequins.)

Also, I am now a true duck mom - I have been pooped on! Multiple times now, actually. Lol.

And in the above photo is a Buff and the Cayuga with the bit of yellow. I started out with both Buffs but that Cayuga kept peeping loudly and frantically in the brooder and then the same Buff would answer her back just as frantically, so finally I switched the quiet Buff for the loud Cayuga and - bam! Everybody's happy! They must be best friends or something. :hugs

Aw! Chins are great too! :love
Every time Skipper sits on my hand he seems to back up enough to miss popping on me. It's coming....I know.
Duck rule #353685: keep friends together. LOL!
Give them more time with being held. This morning we moved mine to clean and when we went to move them back in their "apartment" they almost fell asleep in our hands! HUGE PROGRESS! :D

@bydhatch Suggesting holding two at the same time is really going to help, I'm sure. Especially since that means that assuming I'm still going to put in the same amount of time holding duckies, each duck will get twice as much handling time.

@Krazyquilts
   put a towel down first before placing ducklings under chin or before they climb under chin, that way you won't have anything running down into your shirt.  :lol:

Yeah, I sorta realized that after the fact. :hu Ah well. It's probably not as bad as a baby throwing up all over you. Or peeing all over you. At least duckling poop is still pretty small (at this point).

But my baby ducks are still worth it!

My Cayuga is 3.5 mos and still does duckie yoga with the outstretched leg. Fantastic pics! They're adorable
