They're all a bit people-shy, but they're getting better about it. They no longer race upstream every time someone's out in the yard anyway.

Poor little Rose has a nasty limp when she's on land, but it doesn't seem to bother her swimming. If I can ever get a hold of her, I'll take her to the vet and see if it's fixable. I suspect she had a broken foot/leg at one point that healed wrong.

Awwwww! So cute!
That they are. They can be pretty loud, though. I never realized just how much volume a duck was capable of until recently. Whenever Rose gets left too far behind in their search for bugs/worms/grubs/whatever she gets pretty vocal. The other two, naturally, have to talk back to her for a bit before they go back to her. A little while later, poor Rose is left behind again, and it starts all over. Fortunately, it only happens on the rare occasions that they're not in the water.

Safe? Well, let's just say they're as safe as they've ever been. I am absolutely certain that these three have never had a ducky house of their own. I have a safe place for them to sleep, but the one time I got them in it they went completely ballistic at finding themselves closed in.

I'm working on gaining enough trust to be able to change that.
