I am so happy to hear that nan is doing good! My runt has crooked toes too. She isn't as small as nan but she is smaller then the rest of my chickens. I wonder if it has something to do with their size? I wonder if it is a runt thing?
14 weeks old today! She's really changing and feathering out. She's more red/black laced wyandotte than red/blue, but I don't care as long as she's got some feathers finally. She's still tiny, but growing at the same rate as the newbies. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but her comb is turning red at the same rate as her hatch mate teenagers. The picture is hard to see the red, but it's there.
Nan and the little ladies have moved outside into a plastic tub with a heat lamp over it. I can't take the dust any more. My son's drum set is covered in it. They had to go. Here are the latest pictures of Nanners..
