My little punk rocker Polish

Could the nose holes be clogged??? S/He's really scratching at the face on both sides..like a dog scratches their ears.
I turned the humidifier off...thank you. And will see if I can find this Tylan locally.
He's much brighter tonight than last night. I would love to put him back with the flock tomorrow. With 9 dogs in the house, the last thing I need is a chicken in my guest bathtub but want to do the best I can for him/her.
Appetite was pretty good earlier today!

That's fine, break it into four and give him a piece. Yes nostrials can get clogged, you can take some tweezers and try to remove any debris. Luckily Polish have big nostrials. He probably has sinus pressure if scratching... Tylan is in a white cardboard box, inside a glass bottle. It is about $10

lol! reminds me of my little silkie Lucky, ended up happening to give it away because it was a roo.

I'm so glad your Polish chick is doing better. I love his pictures. What color variety is he or she? Please keep us posted on his or her progress, and take more pictures.

S/he's eating/drinking well but the eyes seem a little worse today. I just came back from the vet with some Baytril and started that. They had the tylan powder but she said this was better dosing---more precise. So, I didn't move him out of the shower but think I will put him in the pump house where I started them outside. I'm afraid to put him with the others, even tho they have already been exposed I guess :(
S/he is a golden laced. The last one they had at the feed store.I've said all along if it turnd out to be a rooster, he would have to go but after all this...he's STAYING if he survives....
Here's the hospital ward!

Another tip is VetRX for poultry. Heat it up to warm then rub around nostrils, comb n wattles. It will help with the congestion like Vicks does for humans.

Baytril is good stuff, it's pricy but it works. Glad to see he is eating.... That's a good sign. With polish youngsters, sexing is done by the shape of their topknot. Girls have a bonnet shape with wider rounder feathers. Boys have rocker hair with thinner pointier feathers..... I love my polish and find them very amusing .

Yes, I paid $30 for a small little bottle but only giving 1/2 cc 2x a day. S/he only weights 9.3 oz. After what I've spend on my 7 dogs the last 15 years, a $30 vet bill is welcome!
The top knot looks pretty even....only time will tell I guess.
I just hope the little one makes it. I've had so much fun taking pics of the wild child in my *normal* flock.
I never thought I'd fall in love with a silly little chicken........................my bad.
