My Love Affair With Ducks...

I think I posted about my little, molting Hershey getting in the freezing water a while back and shivering terribly (don’t know for sure if I did or not). But anyway, since that day, she has not gotten back in the pool at all. She’s a smart cookie. Of course all the rest of them do and she just stands on the sidelines and watches. When I first fill the pools the water is much, much warmer because it’s coming from deep underground from my well.
Smart Dux are extremely dangerous.

Psssst. You have a dux on the wrong side of the fence.
Oh, that fence is just for looks now. I should take it down. That’s Quinny and she had been over taking a dip in the clean pool and was just out on her Sunday waddle.

I haven’t cleaned that little swimming pool out in about a week. I have to hold my hand underwater to keep the siphoning hose from popping up and I tried holding it down during the last cold snap and I couldn’t stand the pain the cold water caused. Even after I dried my hand off the pain was still excruciating. They can swim in only one pool while it’s so cold. The other one has a drain. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

I am trying to figure out if I would hold anything other than a dux head in a pool of dirty dux water..

The magic 8 ball says “highly doubtful “.
