I freaked out a bit when Peaches Bailed The Pool. I thought she had hurt herself, but luckily NO! However, this bail out is the reason the netting went up around the high sides of the pool.

Of course it’s not electrified, as Ralphie might have wanted, but those little electric wire posts have come in handy more times than I can count.
Looks worse than it is! - Wait until they discover that they can get airborne when flapping their wings really fast. Your property is also sloped, they will use the slope to take off, but than landing is another story… Blanca just lands on her belly and slides for a bit…

Last video for tonight! You just can’t help but smile (and giggle) when you see just how happy a little pool of water makes a duck! It’s like watching a cat with a cardboard box. No, no it’s not...it’s 1000 times better, trust me.

Ducks And Water! They may be messy, but they’ll sure make your day. Come on, Ralphie, I know you’re smiling!
I bet that chicken in the background would love to be a duck for some time… :gig

Isn’t this how everyone spends their early mornings before getting started with their day, duck loving? Four snoozing at my feet and one relaxing in my lap. Yeah, I’m sitting in their little duckie spot...on a towel. I really think Hershey enjoyed the special attention. She seemed content anyway. :love I know I was! I truly enjoy the morning quacken! - I let the ducks out, they run to the patio steps, i walk there too, sit down on the steps and hand out cat-kibbles. Then sit there for five minutes (if the weather permits!) and just watch them starting their day. Gives me plenty of energy to carry on.

Petey already knows where the good stuff grows! - When the Duckies see me with shovel, spade or tiller they all come running to see what tasty morsels their servant will dig up…
That’s my chickens. They are actually a pain when I’m trying to do something constructive. I’m so afraid I’m gonna cut a foot off. 😳

The rotating blades of the tiller should scare the ducks away, but it doesn't. I operate the tiller only when they're away, or if there is a fence between me and the ducks. I don't like tilled duck! Maybe it is because my tiller is electric?
