And look what I just captured the crazies doing!!!
Yep, that crazy Ralphie, or sometimes I call him Ralph Malph (anyone remember ”Happy Days?”) is now chasing his prey on my deck!!!!View attachment 2265469So does this mean he has graduated from only “doing it” in the water? Dear lord!
He is telling you »Look mom, we make some new ducklings for your living room!«

Taught my son a lesson once: Y'all know there is that »Junior Bag« at Mc FakeFood, where there is some junk-food and junk toys for the kids to keep'em quit so that those "grown-up humons" can eat their junk-burgers in peace? - Anyways in the 90's this company was preying heavy on kids by launching "toy-sets" in those junk bags, you had to eat multiple of these "meals" to collect all parts of the set and the kids went crrrazy for it. - In come the German lawmakers forcing the company to also sell those "toys" without the meal…
There was one particular set, i can't remember what it was (pokefake?) that was extremely popular in son's school and he was permanently nagging me to go to that fake-food chain and buy him a that »Junior Bag« so that he could select his (next) favorite "toy".
One afternoon i had enough! Just received a decent bonus on my salary, money wasn't a problem, so i went with him and he got his »Junior Bag« with this beloved, world-saving action hero… Then i went ahead and bought the other eleven. - Just. Bought. All. Of. Them!
And dumped them onto the table where he was playing.
Pan-cake eyes, mouth open like a subway-tunnel, complete disbelief!
He was soooo happy!
Took all his treasures to school with him the following Monday - only to be told that his collection is no longer "in", "hip" or "cool" as Mc FakeFood had already released the next set of collectible "toys" and those were, of course much "cooler"…
He never again asked for a »Junior Bag«.
Years later, when he moved out and i helped him packing, i smuggled those figurines into one of his bags. Got a call from him immediately after his arrival and we had a good laugh!
Aweeeeee!!! That made my heart ache for him! I remember when I was really little I wanted this Sega-pica-coloring-thingy at Toys R Us. I asked Santa every Christmas until I was 8. That year, I didn't ask for it and it was the year I got it but I had already grown out of it. Years later, in my teens, my mom told me that she regretted getting it that year but she said it was the first year they could afford it. I didnt know what struggle was as a little kid, I just thought it was Santa

It takes videos so long to upload here at my house. I was pushing it with a 5 minute one. But I was able to enjoy a homegrown tomato sandwich with lots of mayo, salt and pepper while I waited. (Is that just a Southern thing @duluthralphie? If so, you need to try it. You don’t know what you’re missing!) :drool:lau

Back to ducks, here’s my video. Five minutes of Duck Action & General Barnyard Noise. Ain’t it just luv-ly! Enjoy!
