Well, i have three drakes here, that are a mix between Fawn & White Indian Runner and Buff Orpington. They are tall, they can reach up to a 1m table and grab your sandwich and they can run really fast. Faster than i could ever run here on the uneven ground!
And these three thugs are charging at me and try to eat my shorts.

That is not good! You have raised some alien ducks. Are they really that tall? And that’s what you are wishing on me. In a mere 28 days I could have those very thugs that would soon be charging at me.

Well I have heard the expression, “swearing like a Brit!”

My Wifie being from Romania, i learned that the Romanians say the Russians curse the worst. The Russians blame the Bulgarians for the worst curses and the Bulgarians claim they've learned the dirtiest slang from the Romanians…
In fact, what i have heart from all three countries would make a ten foot snowman blush to the core!

This year's hatch: One quacker and three corkscrews. That's why i have ordered twelve girls. I hope they're all girls…

Oh gracious. Everything you said is exactly right. I gave up “clean eating,” which isn’t really that hard, I just seem not to care anymore. And I love the taste of sweet southern tea!

I would not be able to function without tea! One pot of hot tea in the morning is necessary to thaw my brain and then several pots of iced tea during the hot summer days when i am sweating like a pig outside. - Do people here too say »sweating like a pig«? - We say that in Germany, but it is actually completely wrong, because pigs cannot sweat! They are like dogs who also don't have sweat glands in their skin. That's why dogs pant and pigs wallow in the mud.
Anyways: I cannot drink my hot tea without sugar (lots of sugar, for which my doctor and my wife both scold me! )
But the iced tea i gulp down with Sucralose to reduce calories. I just can't drink water! Water is for ducks!

Well, it is not all bad: Those three drakes have scared away skunks and opossums. And even the raccoons seem to have some respect, at least the young one that i missed with my air-rifle.
And they are »momma's boyz« - Katharina duck only has to squeak once and they come running to protect their momma! It is hilarious!
The other mixed breeds are way scarier, the mixed drakes derived from the White Layers are huge and heavy, Browny Drake has the statue of a Pekin duck but is brown, black and a bit green. And the ducks from this year have the Pekin body but they run like Runners, you have seen Misty Duck? She is fast and almost as tall as the thugs, but smarter.
@Magnolia Ducks calls these kind of ducks the Frankenducks.

Yes, I have said “sweating like a pig/hog.”

Sugar is a must for hot tea. I can drink iced tea unsweetened if I have to, but I much prefer sweet iced tea.

The Frankenducks are fun to watch. Picture A Pekin waddle and a Runner run combined . Our two are almost as fat as their mom and taller than their runner dad. They are even bigger than their Runner Rouen drake brother.

Fingers crossed ! We can't order sexed ducklings here.....and we are far too wet to eat or sell our boys, so we have a batchelor pad for them.
