My lovely yellow goldens.

And they are just fun! 😁 I never expected them to be so personable.

I know there is a guy in Ireland that sells Temminck's tragopan eggs in the spring and I really, really would love to give it a go... but it all depends what sort of space my workplace can provide. If it isn't big or good enough I obviously wont go there.
Tragopans are on a whole different level as far as habitat, feeding and general care....they are considered expert aviaists only birds.
I would love to have some but they don't handle hot weather very well, and being in South Texas, they wouldn't make it here during the summer months.

They are still doing fab! Feather picking almost completely stopped even for the little one, and they've done so well through the first snow. Perfectly happy!
8-9 degrees below zero not a problem.

There is also more and more bright yellow on the crest! My pretty boy.

Starting to get some color, will be another half a year before it will have it's adult plumage....but looking good!

I know it will take time, but I love seeing one or two new little feathers almost every day. :) They are lovely and plump now as well, they've been getting a lot of extras as it has gotten colder.
