Tragopans are on a whole different level as far as habitat, feeding and general care....they are considered expert aviaists only birds.And they are just fun!I never expected them to be so personable.
I know there is a guy in Ireland that sells Temminck's tragopan eggs in the spring and I really, really would love to give it a go... but it all depends what sort of space my workplace can provide. If it isn't big or good enough I obviously wont go there.
I would love to have some but they don't handle hot weather very well, and being in South Texas, they wouldn't make it here during the summer months.
They are lovely and plump now as well, they've been getting a lot of extras as it has gotten colder.
